If you are like me, you are worried first and foremost about the economy. What is the next president going to do to improve the economy? Is it even possible for the president to fix the economy?
The problem with any politician is that you hear words and more words but very little action when they get the job they are seeking. I do not want words, I want action. Barrack Obama has many words. He speaks of uniting the country, hope, dreams, and crushing the old political regime. Dreams and hope are great. We all need to look for a better tomorrow; however, we have the reality of today. Give me clear ideas on how you are going to make my life as a middle class American more affordable. Gas prices are up, food is through the roof, fuel oil is cutting us deep, and health cost is so crazy that we can not afford to get sick. What dream will fix this; we need solid fixes not dreams.
Hillary Clinton has addressed the economy many times. Of course she points out all the things that are wrong but does not offer up a clear plan to fix it. Words and more words about what is wrong and what needs to be fixed but give me a plan we can sink our teeth in.
You move on to John McCain, the great Republican hope. By listening to him, it is clear his plan is to follow the Bushism plan of spend more on Iraq while trying to hand out crumbs to us poor middles class Americans. He flip flops on issues and changes to say what he thinks people want to hear.
I see very little clearly laid out policies and nothing but words. Are we voting for the most popular as is the case with Obama’s charm or the only feasible as is the case of John McCain or are we going to vote on who we think can get the job done. I love to dream and I look for great hope but in reality, we need a person who can get their hands dirty and get the job done.
